Potosi’s Silver

Potosi’s Silver is a ’11 mare by Badge of Silver and Classy Date by Saint Ballado.  She was sold as a yearling at the September Keeneland Sale for $125,000 and her brother, Old Sport, was sold at the September Keenland Sale the following year for $425,000.  She was a very talented two-year-old and raced 3 times before she got injured.  Her first race at Saratoga, she finished second, she won her second race at Belmont by 6 ¼ lengths and she finished 5^th in her third race at Aqueduct in a Grade 3 stakes and this is when she got injured.  She earned a total of $71,500 with a speed rating of 91.
